Card care, clearly explained
Every card is inspected by hand so you can shop with confidence. Here is exactly what our condition language means and what we look for before a card is listed.
Know what to expect
We judge the whole card—not one isolated mark. Printing imperfections, handling wear, surface condition, edges, corners, and structure are considered together.
Clean and close to pack-fresh, with strong overall eye appeal. Tiny factory marks or very faint handling wear may be present under close lighting.
A well-kept card with minor visible wear that does not distract from the artwork or affect playability.
Moderately played, heavily played, and damaged cards are not listed in the Crit Hit online store.
Checked by hand
Scratches, scuffs, clouding, print lines, dents, stains, and ink.
Whitening, chipping, rough cuts, and factory edge wear.
Nicks, soft corners, whitening, bends, and compression.
Creases, warping, tears, water damage, and whether the card lays flat.
Condition is not the same as professional grading. A Near Mint card is not guaranteed to receive a specific grade from PSA, Beckett, CGC, or another grading company.
Before you order
Unless a listing specifically says otherwise, product images are reference images. The card you receive will meet the condition standard shown on the product page.
Yes. Near Mint does not mean flawless. Minor factory imperfections or extremely light handling marks can still fall within Near Mint when the card remains clean and attractive overall.
Foils are checked for scratching, clouding, edge wear, and warping. Very light factory lines or mild clouding may still appear on otherwise Near Mint copies.
